You will need some way to do it because you can't do it on a stock setup. You will need to use either with a Manual Boost Controller (MBC), Electronic Boost Controler (EBC) or ECU tuning/piggyback solutions (ECUtek, AccessPort, Utec, Unichip, Xede).

I personally don't recomend an MBC, EBC, Utec, Unichip or Xede, but you can do a search to find out the plusses and minuses of each method. A lot of people have had success with these types of products, but I wouldn't recomend it unless you really knew what you were doing.

The safest bet is to get your car reflashed (using ECUtek or AccessPort) to support higher boost. Reflashing your ECU is probably the safest, best bang-for-your-buck mod to make your car faster.

The UTEC and similar are only as good as the person tuning them.

Reliability goes in the order that nKoan listed them, MBC is the least reliable, then EBC, then a real reflash like ecutek or accessport.

Personally I run an accessport stg. 2. That's the highest boost that cobb runs on the stock turbo which is 15.8 +/- 0.5 psi. So I wouldn't push the stock turbo past that range. I don't think the stock injectors can handle it.

thanks for the replies, well I think the best thing to do is to to do nothing and read up on some stuff and take it from there, I am in no hurry, cuz the car is still fast as hell.

If you plan on running anything over 16 psi you really need better injectors and a better fuel pump also.
