STI IC in WRX, how well would it fit?

I was wondering about the install of a STI ic into a WRX, is it a perfect fit or would i need to do some modification to the AC hoses?

are there any alternatives to the sti IC?

it's gonna be pretty tight, but it fits, just make sure your AC lines don't rub against the IC...

almost all of the after market TMICs are bigger than the STi IC.

I have one for sale $350, it fits well, but it's not as good as the stock in the fact that you can get it, in and out very easily. you need to loosen brackets slightly and tighen them up to get everything into place. The hardest thing to get fit right is the red pipe from the turbo to the intercooler inlet. you need to adjust that just right so it comes together properly.

FYI: Installing a STi I/C first slip in the red hose tighten it first then the big throttle hose, find out to be easier this way.

Don't the stock WRXs have a mounting bracket already there for the STi IC? Isn't that what the small bracket is jutting out on the passenger side of the IC?

From what I have heard it is not a bracket problem it is a hosing problem and as said before can be fixed with the kit from rallispec.com
