i have an 02 wrx and was lookin into an upipe and was curious about the sti one that is catless. Does this fit the 02 wrx and if so will i pass smog. ive heard both yes and no and wanted to know if anyone really knew for sure, as in someone who has had a smog check with the sti uppipe...thanks for ur help...

no its not legal. and im sure youll pass its hard to see that on visual inspection unless you go to the ref but it still has the subaru heat sheild stamp

 

if it has the heat shield stamp then shudnt it fool the dude who's doin my smog? do u kno if i will pass the smog emission test 2? do u kno for sure? it wud b nice to kno if i can just leave the uppipe on and not worry about havin to take it off for smog checks...so thats y i wud realli like to kno for sure 100% positive that i will pass all the checks...

 

visual no problem unless you go to teh ref they might catch it might not

sniffer will pass if you have your stock down pipe and its working perfectly

 

and make sure your cat is hot when you do it

 

The UP cat is only for cold starts. The '06 don't have them any more.
