Speed Limiter
Wondering what anyone might run at for a top speed (stock). I was always under the believe that a Subaru had a stock limit of 111mph. I am a recent owner of a 2005 WRX and one night found that my car could go 140mph @ 5500rpm, with a little pulling left but not much. Just wondering what others have seen with there stock cars...

its between 140 and 145 for most people. People who drive that fast on a public road hopefully kill themseves on the first try without hurting anyone else.

manual trans are pretty much drag limited and/or fuel limited by the computer if you are tinkering around with boost. i've done around 145 had the ecu shut off due to my boost creeping past its limiting point. A hks fcd worked with my old ecu when i had this problem.
since then i have a different ecu and reflash to work around the limit.
Autos i believe are limited to around 120..but not exactly sure
