Forgot to add, a retuned ECU will up boost pressure as well. You can go with a MBC but that will cause your engine to run lean do to making full boost at part throttle. This can cause damage. Also I've seen people that have blown their motor with a MBC because they didn't turn it down with colder weather. Colder air is more dense, meaning when it's colder out, your car takes in more air. More air with more boost without more fuel = BOOM!

Since your car will have the capability to take in more and put out more air, a tuned ECU can net much larger gains. The ECU was the last thing I did after all the above mentioned and it was a world of difference in power. The car just came to life. Before it, I raced a friend with a bone stock WRX and I pulled on him from the top of 2nd and all through 3rd. Now with the ECU, I aniliate him. Of course he had to go out and buy an STI, but that's another story. There is much to consider when shopping for tuning methods. Mostly you need to decise how far you want to go with it and try to find the best solution that will support future mods if that's where you're headed.
Also, a lightweight crank pulley nets a few horses and is easy to install. Makes the car feel quicker. I like mods I can feel. DON'T buy an underdrive (smaller diameter) pulley. It may cause your cam position sensor to read the wrong position and screw up your cam timing. I used a Perrin Pulley and it's been working great. Once you remove yours, hold the stock one in one hand and the Perrin in the other and you'll see why it makes power.

Adding crankpulley and up pipe to the list.
how many times can you retune a ecu to cope with your mods?

Yes, I work for Vishnu, but that doesn't change the fact that Vishnu products are all of very high quality.

This is not the same as lighter wheels which, at times, can remove weight 8-10" from the center of rotation, times 4 (four wheels, afterall). Second, underdrive pullies do improve wheel hp measurably by spinning accessories slower. The fact that they are make of aluminum (and are lighter) is just incidental.

I'm sorry, I recieved that information from another vendor. And please don't think I was downplaying your parts or anything. I know of their quality. It's good to let others know they have options though. Keeps vendors honest
As far as the pulley, it seems to make the engine feel more responsive. I wasn't saying it made huge gains in power or anything like that.
