Saab 9-2x intro

Just purchased a 2005 Saab 9-2x and I have a few questions for you engine gurus...I got an automatic so the girlfriend can drive it and the thang has no ***** from a complete stop. I have to jump into traffic everyday and it doesn't do too well, almost like I have extreme turbo lag, which I know that isn't the case. Just asking if there is any mods that will defeat the poor acceleration. Thank guys..

Welcome, I think a good bang for buck is the AcessPort, which is a device that allows you to load preset maps for the ECU. As you progressively mod you car you can get other maps for it. Also you can get a custom tune map by a tuner where they put your car on a dyno and try to maximize your performance.

Of course an exhaust with up and down pipe is also a good start.

If you really want to spend some money look into getting some transmission mods done....ProTorque for the torque converter mod and IPT for the valve body mod. That will help with with your acceleration woes.

+1 for the torque converter/valvebody mod.... if you plan on doing that... you might as well add a transmission cooler too.
