Just wonderin about pulleys and whether or not they are worth getting. Any recommendations..?

 

sure they do something, they free up hp. see, everything else that your engine has to turn besides the driveshaft leeches power. the heavier the rotational element, the more power leeched off. pulleys are heavy rotational elements.

im not sure on the downsides of lightweight pulleys. i know lots of people sell lightweight crank pulleys, but ive heard that u dont want to replace the crank pulley because it screws up teh harmonic balance of the car or something. dont quote me on this, i really have no idea other than ive been told by friends to not get a lightweight crank pulley.

do more research.

 

I know I guy that just put in a perrin pulley in his wagon and hasn't had any problems yet. he says it frees up hp and he can feel it. I don't know much about it tho.
