question about pulleys

It all depends

Your question about pulleys is a valid one, but the answer depends on which brand you get. For the most part there are the Alternator ones, like AEM which are oversized and underdrive your charging system only.. This is good for about 3 HP. Crank pulleys are usually lighter to reduce rotating mass and underdriven resulting in about 6-10HP.
