Pulleys
I got an 05 wrx wagon, it is currently stock tdue to a lack of funds. But Since it is the almost holiday time I was going to starting buying parts for it. I am getting a apexi gt spec catback first, and soon after doing up pipe and down pipe. what should my next move be I was thinking either pulleys or a cold air APS intake. What would I gane more from? Also what pulleys should I buy. AEM pulleys are everywhere but I dont know whats a good pulley for subarus. Thanks for the help.

I got my Vishnu pulley as part of a kit. It weighs a lot less than the factory pulley and is underdriven by just enough to net a few horsepower. If you really want bang for the buck, get either an engine management (ECU) reflash or a Cobb Tuning AccessPORT. You can then use maps that support your exhaust mods. Future mods such as an upgraded turbo and injectors are also supported for common applications.
You'll read differing opinions on intakes. My personal opinion is that there are a few of them that do not skew the MAF readings to cause erratic fuel/air ratios and some that add a few horsepower. The problem I have with intakes is that the ones that truly add power do so by causing changes in the air/fuel ratio at full-throttle. This is something that is easily accomplished, but on a grander scale, using ECU re-mapping (engine management).
If you decide to get an intake, just plan on professional dyno tuning to get the most out of your intake and exhaust mods. This way you'll know that fueling, boost, and timing are adjusted for safe operation.

Or get Accessport, then exhaust (up/dp, CBE) and Protune it, either way work. It's a matter of preferrence. Good luck!

I would go with the cobb accessport first, but if you dont want to send that much yet go for the uppipe.
Personally i would get all of the pipes at the same time to be more economical. If you get the uppipe first you have to take off the DP to get to some bolts, but it is not that hard, you just have to know what you are doing.
I was in the same boat as you about 2 weeks ago. I decided to replace all of my piping from the headers to the cat back exhaust. I think im going to get the accessport next.

I have a AutoSpeedPerformance crank pulley, it is not underdriven due to the fact that I have a sound system in my car and I do not like the strain an underdriven pulley puts on the powersteering and the alternator.
You will gain most from Pulley, and up-pipe/downpipe. I would also suggest some kind of engine managemnt, Vishnu, Cobb, or any others around you.
Good luck,
Austin
