You're power goals are similar to mine and are pretty mild so I don't *think* you're going to get any power difference at all between the two. I went with the Prodrive. I love the sound and the oval tip looks nice too. It's got a quiet, deep, sinister sound when idling and wakes up at WOT.

Yes, the Prodrive axle-back is 2.5". My plans are to mate the Prodrive with a stealth-back from Daddys SCP. It starts out at 3" and tapers down to 2.5" where it's jethot coated in an effort to keep exhaust velocity high. Should be just right for those of us that aren't looking for huge power.

Have had the Prodrive for almost a year now. I'm a noobie, but was able to install in 1-hr. Hardest part was getting in and out of the rubber exhaust hangers(!) The overall sound: think of the stock exhaust turned up 10-15% and add a much deeper rumble tone. Has a much more direct, purposeful sound at WOT. No droning on highway (I drive 65 miles to and from work each day). Power: maybe worth 3-5hp(?). Look: best in the business for us more conservative types (imho). My "power" will come from the Scoobysport up/downpipe combo waiting in my garage (and like you, Cobb reflash later). BTW, consider both torque and hp when talking 3 vs. 2.5inch. Many threads have indicated that 2.5 will actually deliver more usable torque (real-world driving), than a 3inch setup (top-end maximizer), given the same turbo.

It's best to say that a 2.5" exhaust gives similar gains to a 3" exhaust when at mild power levels.
I am one that wants some modest power gains from my mods. I too plan on doing the TXS stealthback and Prodrive rear section. After the pipes are all installed, I plan on getting a reflash from Cobb. The question I am curious about is power. With those mods, can I expect to get about 190 hp to the wheels at least? If I can get at least close to the 200 mark, I will be perfectly happy with my car. The area I live in isn't huge on the import scene. Its not like a huge pissing contest around here. I would say that out of the imports in town that are modded, I probably have one of the three quickest and I am in stock form I figure that with these mods described in this post, I can be at least the 2nd fastest around. I have been having a hard time deciding on an exhaust and the only one that keeps coming back is the Prodrive. I have to get the axleback before the stealthback due to my supidity in buying the Subaru Gold Key extended warranty which is up to 50k and my car only has 15k. Let me know what you guys think? Thanks

eclipse0001, your numbers look right. the cobb website spells this out fairly clearly...esp. with 93 octane here in pa. I believe the turbo xs stealthback also tapers to 2.5" at the axle back. also, depending on your budget/feelings about the environment/passing pa emissions, you may consider keeping the stock 3rd cat and mid pipes (only gonna lose 5 hp max). i am using the bosal downpipe w/ gutted up pipe to this set up with the prodrive muffler and cobb stage 2 and love it. you will be moving significantly faster than your stock set up, and not catching the attention of the 5-o. just my .02.
