20lbs goes "fwap fwap fwap?"

hey guys, I am running a cobb stage 2.5 with vf34. I have boost problems that are downright unmanageable. I am boosting nearly 20lbs, and its outta control. I am using the stock solenoid. Just an FYI i had been using a MBC for 15k before the vf34 and the stock solenoid was just disconnected and wasnt doing anything. In 5th gear, and in fact some other at times as well, I can watch the boost gauge shake violently at 20lbs, and literally hear "fwap fwap fwap fwap fwap," very quickly. Do you have any idea what could cause these problems? Thanks in advance. -Tony

make sure all your hoses from the turbo to the solenoid are in good condition and not cracked or have any sort of holes in them. also, after you removed your MBC to install the VF34, did you connect everything back the way it came from the factory, making sure you used the exact parts?

on Cobb stage 2.5, are you supposed to use the hoses that come on the VF34, or re-use the hoses from the stock turbo?

Another satisfied Cobb customer. Look, just sell that thing and get a ECUTEK reflash. I've boosted upto 21psi using the stock boost control solenoid controlled by the reflashed ECU, with no problems.

No point going external wastegate on a peanut turbo like a VF34. It's not the turbo, it's the tuning. I've seen ECUTEK dyno sheets on VF34 equipped cars and they're smooth as butter.
