One would think that sueing the Attorney General probbaly didn't win a lot of points with ATF, or Judge Walker.

yup...

in this very paranoid state, more and more gun stores and "kitchen" FFLs are being driven away.

you see, the left wing liberal politicians believe that the firearm itself is the EVIL part, not the human who presses the trigger.

so their mentality is if we removed the gun stores, people would commit less gun based crimes.

I think a little tighter record keeping might have kept them out of trouble;

"The U.S. attorney's office, which is defending the firearms bureau in the lawsuit, said the inspection of Trader Sports in September 2003 found 3,659 firearms on hand, even though store records showed 9,100 guns in inventory.

Cucchiara and the federal inspectors had tried to reconcile the discrepancy and found that an additional 2,036 guns could not be accounted for, bringing the total to 7,477, Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan Lee wrote in a legal filing.

Most of those weapons were eventually tracked down, Lee said. But when the firearms bureau issued its final notice of revocation in December, 1,723 guns still had not been found.

Lee said the firearms bureau also found that the shop routinely filed faulty sales records and failed to properly document the sale of high-powered guns to police. "

umm, maybe theres more to the story that I just googled, but how is outright losing complete record of 1,700 guns(oops!) not a good enough reason to not let them keep selling firearms?? Hell if you work at McDonalds and lose 1700 happy meals do you think your going to get you keep your job??

well yeah.

traders has had run-ins with ATF/ et al for years.

dont forget, they have been there for years.

but yes, BAD RECORD KEEPING is NO <bleep>ing excuse for sloppy paperwork.

maybe back in the 70s and 80s, when there were no computers, the record keeping MAY HAVE gotten them through with shananigans.

but when the owner started to sue and make a lot of noise, the ATF started to playball with them and enforced the rules.

2000, i made a purchase from them and to me, it was all done with all the paperwork and it was all legal.

I use "profill" in my metal forming bags because lead eventually leaks out of the bags and on to your hands.

I order the stuff, but it just looks like glass bead that you could get at home depot.
