pluggin' that uppipe

Okay, I got a bolt that fits the uppipe bung. I read a couple of threads about people having trouble w/ bolts backing out.

For all you people with plugged uppipes, have you been runing the bolt w/o any type of threadlocker / locking nut without problems?

The bolt I got doesnt have enough extra thread for a locking nut.. and I'd like to avoid having a huge long thing sticking into my exhaust flow or out of the top of the bung. Went to the basic auto parts store and their "High Temp" threadlocker is only rated to 650 F, which I'm sure will not hold up to the 1600+ EGT's. Is there some kind of "ULTRA Super high temp stuff" that I should be looking for.

Otherwise the only other solution I could think of was to get a washer and really F'ing tighten it down with a big *** breaker bar.

kind of off the topic but I recently bought a gruppe-s uppipe and it has a threaded hole. should I just plug it with the bolt or will it throw a CEL?

threadlocker works on the uppipe studs, so i dont see why it wouldnt work on the plug. the gasses going trough the pipe may be 1600 degrees, but the pipe itself dosent get that hot.

I recently plugged mine no probs so far. I did not use any kind of lock tight. I looked around and I dont believe they have one rated at 1600 degrees the closest to that is like half that but dont quote me.
