please help
not sure really where to post this, but im trying to help my friend out....he has a 2002 Subaru WRX, and he's looking to get a fuel management system, solely because he thinks he can crank the boost higher. mods are listed below, but he went to the track once, and cranked the boost too high, and the car wasnt functiong properly. so if he has a fuel management system, can he crank the boost higher??? he is already about 14psi?
Intake
Magnaflow muffler
blow off valve
manual boost controller
autometer gauges
Thanks,
Matt

You can always crank the boost higher But there is a point when you are out of the Turbos optimum operating range. Then you have the simple question of how long you think your engine will take this without the proper tuning. Putting a better fuel management system on his car is good but without the right ECU tuning he will not fully be able to take advantage of it. In my opinion <----------REMEMBER OPINION... its not a good idea. I have heard of guys running on 17 psi but I do not have a clue about their mods. I would do a search first and find out what he needs to due to crank up the boost properly without blowing his engine.
