Performance For The Newbies...
I was thinking that we should create a new thread for the new WRX/STi/GC8 owners out there across the nation on what basic performance upgrades can be done for their cars.
This should be a helpful thread since we all have been here asking questions on what works and what doesn't.
So here it goes...
Full Exhaust System:
a. GT Spec V2/V3 Header System W/Up-pipe
b. Invidia Bellmouth Downpipe W/CEL Eliminator
c. HKS Carbon-Ti Catback System

i get the exhaust out of the way, since CAI intake is still debatable with the STi, (exhaust manifold is strictly up to the owner), get the ECU last after you got all your engine upgrades done so they can tune it properly to your mods. do suspension before upgrades to engine, whats the point of having a fast car if the suspension cant handle it.

Suspension...
You're right stock WRX handles like sh*t for an awd. I would recommend Tein Type Flex Coilover System W/EDFC but if you're on budget then Tein H-tech Springs would do just fine.
As for my set up, I went for the Tein Type Flex Coilover System, Cusco F/R Strutbars w/Rear V-Brace, Cusco F/R Swaybars, Perrin Endlinks, Perrin Posivitive Steering System, Energy Suspension Polyurethane Bushings.

People should spend some money on driving school NASA or SCCA what have you. The wrx, STi, and GC8's can outperform most of our driving skills. I would go for 17's and new tires, then up and down pipes, brakes, ecu, suspension. My .02
