I think NGK iridium comes pre-gaped - within subaru spec.

YOU ARENT SUPPOSE TO GAP THEM!!!!

if you gap them you screw them up

the platinum gets scratched off or the iridium is screwed

run stock plugs

How to install spark plugs on a 2002 WRX. Proper gap is necessary for correct ignition system operation. Don't assume spark plug gap is correct even on spark plugs specified for your car.

EDIT: Only the side electrode should be adjusted for proper gap. Do not touch the center electrode. Even a scratch can alter the voltage requirement to fire the spark plug and cause a high-speed misfire under heavy acceleration, especially on cars with modified tuning (more aggressive ignition advance, higher boost pressure).
