brian, you need a different plug dude... the ones you would use on a WRX and STI are different. The length of the plug is different. STI shorter. WRX longer

yeah, they have different part numbers. I'd guess they correspond to the head but wait for someone else who knows...

It depends on the head. The sti has a 67cc combustion chamber I believe. The wrx 02-05 has 49cc, 06 up has 51cc.
Numbers may not be exact...but that is what my feeble measurements came up with in the past.
The longer plugs are needed on sti and 06 up wrx. This so the spark is more centered in the larger compression chamber.
