Hi there..

This is Garret with World One Performance. Hello and how are you? I just wanted to chime in and second the vote for the exhaust system. It really is the most logical thing to do at this point in time.

Since your budget is on the low side, the HKS will be your best option. Are your plans to stay on the stock turbo for quite some time. If you are, then this pipe will work out great for you. If a turbo is in your near future you might want to think about upgrading to a bell mouth or divorced wastegate uppipe.

Installing an aftermarket downpipe will remove two catalytic converters that are after the turbo. Doing this will give you a significant power increase, increase in low end power, and increased turbo sounds. The volume increase will be insignificant.

Try to stay away from EBCs. After this, finish off the exhaust with a catback of your choice and pick up a UTEC. A stage II spec car is mighty quick.

Your on your way.

Cheers,

Garret

Up-pipe will give you fast spool up and some of that nice lower end stuff thats kind of missing in the stock setup.

I give my vote for an uppipe, too. However, get one from a reputable company (Perrin). I used to go by the "an uppipe is an uppipe" school of thought. Do a search for "City Mill uppipe" to find out what can go wrong. Stay away from E-bay. Also, since you have a boost guage, a cheap power increase would be an MBC. Just set it to 16psi (1.1bar) and you'll see results.

A question for Garret: Other than price, why no EBC? Just curious. I have my own reasons for getting/not getting one, price being #1 on the list.
edit: Nevermind about your reasoning, I read this post and found it there. Makes sense.
