Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Newbie question (how to run low-12 or high-11 seconds)

essentially the wrx is not a drag car, but yes you can still make it on

i suspect you'll need vf22 turbo (vf34 might work)
up pipe
down pipe
bigger i/c
injectors
new fuel pump
catback
lots of tuning (utec, ecutek, etc)
gauges (egt, boost, oil temp,preasure/whatever)
little stuff like samco hoses, motor, tranny mounts
after few thousand miles you'll need a new clutch and flywheel :P

expect to pay a lot, or a little depening on your income :P

can't give you a # cause im too lazy to add up to how much that stuff ends up costing, sorry :P

the stuff you're talkin...

bov is pointless, but sounds cool.
turnin up boost can cost as little as 50 dollars, or you can get a reflash and get more hp, but for more $ (cobb is 400 dollars)

what do you mean by "maybe a wastegate? as in weld it shut? are you crazy?
front mount conversion with the mods you stated will only give you lag with the stock turbo
down pipe should give you some HP, but i'd also get an up pipe if i were you. and cat backs help

without the nos, your lookin at prolly 205 210 HP to the wheels

someone wanna correct me? i dont' suspect im very accurate at this

p.s. naws is ghey

From what I have heard, if you put that many mods you'll probably kill your tranny and that will cost you mucho $$. You'll have to probably upgrade your tranny to the STi tranny and that will set you back approx. $5000-$6000. Might as well buy an STi or EVO then =)

You won't necessarialy break your tranny with those mods. You just have to know how to drive an AWD car - no clutch drops, smooth shifting, etc. If you're careful, the WRX tranny can go a long way...

I have this exact setup right now.....I have 230 WHP -> Stock = about 185 WHP.

I would guess a vf34 with STI injectors + fuel rails and walbro 255 l/hr fuel pump would add another 20-30 WHP. But after you do THIS, you will need another reflash which will also add more HP to the wheels.

which I am guessing will put you in the 275-295 whp range....which is basically what I am aiming for with my car....I am looking for 300 WHP, then I will be "done."

and I would say will give you a damn good chance at low 12's maybe hi 11's.

-Ted

EDIT: oh yea, it will also cost you around 3k-6k depending on the specific parts you buy.

where'd you get your dyno run at?....... those stock #'s seem very high.. shiv's dyno usually puts165 170 stock, and (i forget name of dyno he has) but its much more accurate, so you might not be makin as much power as you thought

It's gonna take more than 300 WHP to get a 3200 lb car to run 11s (or even low 12s).

I don't really know what it would take to get a wrx to the low 11's. It really is not a drag car. Great on the road, roadcourse, snow, rain, dirt, mud. It is a good daily driver with an ecu, full turbo back. It is still pretty quick. Honestly, even thouhg i'm sure i'm going to regret adding this(heckeling) you might want to look at an srt-4. Do you have a wrx now?

I have also heard that the mustang awd dyno is the best for acurate numbers(a little off subject).
