new mods, look at this!
I decided I wanted some noise from my blow off, so I told my shop I wanted the HKS one along with the other mods I'm getting this time around. The other mods I'm getting are PDE uppipe(cobb's wont be out for a while), Codd tuning downpipe, and a stage 2 reflash(cobb). They recommended an APS cold air intake for better noise while using the stock blow off. The nice thing is, the APS front mount is so nice, so next time around I can get that!! By the way, Cobb never recommends Injen intakes, but they said this one would be fine, and a lot better than a blow off valve for my car. What kind of a noise can I really expect from this mod? Also will there be any sound difference with my new turbo back system or slightly upped boost? Peace!
If you are moving from the stock air box to the intake, you are going to notice a huge increase in volume...
You should also notice the turbo spool will be much louder...

Cobb Tuning didn't actually tell me to get one, but Modern Garage, a local shop who shares buildings with Cobb Tuning here in Salt lake City says this will actually help a little, whereas, he said the HKS blowoff would not be good for my car. And would only recommend this intake if I wanted more noise, instead of a blow-off. This shop shares similar opinions to Cobb. I have the cobb stage-one chip and a K&N filter intake, plus blitz catback right now, so the gains from intake will probably be minimal, but I'm also getting upp, dwp, reflash. Plus, the APS intake goes well with the APS front mount, which I want so much. If you get a bigger turbo then I think you could get their blow off valve? What do you think? Sounds like good advice?

i've emailed mark at cobb, regarding the injen intake thing, its always best to email cobb before ordering your reflash with the mods on your car so they can custom tune the relfash, cause they do that you know just my 2 cents. so injen is ok. but only for sound.
