Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

(Is the Monster TD04) turbo a direct replacement?

Question turbo direct replacement q

I wanted to know if anyone knew anything more about this turbocharger such as if i can just directly replace the stock turbo wit this one or if this wont let me pass smog etc. I need to know most importantly, can i replace the stock turbo wit this one safely witout having to worry about or doing any other mod to internals etc. AND if i will pass inspection and smog. Thanks

If the link doesnt work then go to reviews, then tubrochargers, then bolt-on, and then click the link for the "deadbolt enterprises TD04 with monster port and polish"

You'll be fine with the Monster TDO4.I run a ported/polished TDO4 with my Cobb stagell and no problems. But for safety sake just make sure you have a good boost and EGTgauge to monitor things with.It just basicly spools faster and has better throttle responce. It doesn't flow to much more.
