Mo Power Less Money
Does anybody have any advice for a 2002 WRX owner that is looking for additional "useable" horsepower for not much CASH. I don't care if my car "sounds" or "looks" faster. I just want some simple cost-effective mods that will give my everyday driver a little more HP. Please only respond with mods you have done yourself, no "My buddy did this" or " I heard about this".
Thanks

The best bang for the buck would be the Vishnu Sub 0 Reflash of your E.C.U, It cost about $750,....
BUT, You get around 25hp and dont have to touch the motor!
According to Vishnu (the company) it is the SAFE way to extract power from your motor without going overboard on mods.
I take it your not wanting to go with the exhaust mods,i.e upipe/downpipe or other "physical" mods to your Rex?
I am a 40+ fella myself, and want to keep my power parameters in the green without harm to the car.

uppipe, especially if you want better spool up. underdrive pulleys are also an easy way to free up some power across the band.
try the 3/16th mod too, and get a boost gauge if you dont have one yet.

Vishnu or Perrin Crank Pully will free up some more useable Wheel Horsepower. I don't have one personally because of the conflicting issues when one has a lot of power to the engine (IE: My Stage IV kit)
I agree that the Reflash is probably the best Bang for the buck, as far as safety goes.
I'll hopefully be doing a Reflash for my Stage IV in March....... I want to get rid of the Piggyback, and get back to the good ole'
Stock computer.
