I didnt read all the response, so I apologize if I am repeating anything anyone said.....
that whistling noise (120+ mph) is from the side mirrors....it scared the isht outta me the first time I heard that, but listened real close and found it to be the mirrors....then I looked at the rally cars and saw that their mirrors are shaped differently, I am guessing to cut down on the wind resistance that causes this sound.
As for my top speed....(03 WRX, Stock at the time) I was driving down to Las Vegas really early in the AM (3:30am) and wanted to see what my car could do....lets just say I got up to 135 before I got scared, and the car was still pulling hard. Made me realize that a body kit would really help keep the car planted on the ground at that speed. BTW....the WRX wing (unlike alot of other cars that have wings for looks) actually does work, it was designed to be fully functional. I am not sure on the actual downforce numbers...but I will see if I can find a link about it.

the Highest I've gotten up to was 135mph on New Years day at 7am. the Roads were damn near empty i couldnt believe it. The car speed up to 110mp like its nothing but then from 120 to 135 it was taking a long time to get up. The mid-Range power is lovely but the Low and High range isnt as strong.
How can you attain better High RPM ummph? I know with an Uppipe, Turbo back, and proper ECU tuning can resovle the low-end going to mid but what about High end?

Weather conditions also make a considerable amount of difference....your car will not perform as well at high altitude, or in really hot weather (heat soaked IC). The density of the charge of air going into the engine will be alot less than on a nice cool day at sea level. (thats why some people use a water spray to keep the intercooler cold, it makes the air more dense, giving you better combustion in the end)

Well thats interesting.
I wonder where the communication disconnect is, cause you obviously got different info than quickscooby did.
I hate it when two people go to the same vendor and come away with different info.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see if Shiv will jump in here to clear it up, or see if some other user has the same experience of a hard fuel cut at 160 and below boost limit.

I got tired of spending $300 a month in gas and bridge tolls, and 2 hours in my car everyday, to commute. I also wanted to go back to school, which I have, and that would conflict.

lol I don't know what you guys are smoking but i have an 02 wrx auto true the car has a speed/fuel limiter at 130mph at 5k now that has been hit many times, with both the stock 16s and the rotas17inches and the stock exhaust and the full turbo back exhaust with the header the only difference is the size of the wheel and the rpm when you hit it 17s hit lower roughly 5k 16s i was a little bit higher like 5200k but as far as I know on an 02wrx auto the top speed is limited to 130mph then cuts out and lets you back into it like 120mph.always wanted to know how to cut it out but still warranted so can't really do that hacking yet.
