Manual boost controller on a stock 04 WRX Wagon?
I just wanted a little more oomph on my WRX. Its an '04 wagon. Would it be ok to just install a simple Hallman MBC with a little more boost and boost gauge on a completely stock car?

No it would not ok. If you want more umph pick up a some sort of Engine Management. If I were in Hawaii I'd look into OpenECU.

Cobb accessport, no manual boost controllers unless you have someone to properly tune it, but the accessport is definitly a "safer" way to increase boost pressure.
