Jux-Ta-Pose (Dharma)
Hey Jux-ta poser, You have no conception of kharma and Hindu beleifs. In order to have good Kharma, one must follow the correct path in life which involves DHARMA or completing ones duties(being honest, truthful, and hardworking) in this life in order to be reborn to a higher level in the next life in hopes that you will reach heaven for Hindu's which is called Moshka, a place of complete happiness and release from the cycle of death and rebirth. THERE IS NO KHARMA FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT COMPLETE DHARMA. Your Kharma is nil, you supprt wrx2fast4u< you are not completing your Dharma, so you will be forever stuck at the botom of the chain in life. In India these people are called The Untouchables, because people do not want their kharma hurt by mingling with these horrible people. We as subaru owners are all passionate about cars, and those of us who play the game right will not pay for your immaturity, non-truthful behavior, and deception. By the way, as a Professor of History, I have owned Modded honda Civics, Mustangs, and now own a Subaru. I have left it untouched as far as anything that will void the warranty in order to avoid such situations as wrx2fast4u has run into. If you are going to play with a $24,000 car, you should have the money to pay for problems that arise, because they will! No car is free from mechanical failure, even well sorted out cars. Bad Gas, one ping, BOOM. Say what you like about my views, but it seems most people on this forum know the rules to modifying cars and take the blame when things go bad. When will this "Fast and Furious" mentality to modding cars stop! enough said. Good Kharma to all, and keep the good posts coming, you are completing your duties(DHARMA)

well, i guess i stand alone here.
regardless, if i am right or wrong.
shinma- i have nothing to do with him, i have zero engine mods. i was just shocked and even disappointed to see the hate towards someone. i just get aggrevated seeing so many people judge, this kid. who are you to decide what is right and wrong?
kc- i don't know... i must have the "us" against "them" mentallity
i really think that many of you are not seeking justice, just revenge.
tad - nice play on words
juxtapose means to compare side by side. if a dealership refuses work on your unmodified car due to their past experiences of other peoples cars. shame on them. they have a responsibility too. they must investigate all cars on their own. if mine blows up today, i fully accept them to waranty my car based on my car.
everybody else- why did i feel i had to stand up for this person?
the hate and anger i read, outweighed the attempted coverup by WRXs2Fast4U.

But you must see some wrong in this? If we as a society didn't have rules telling us what is right and wrong this world would be a scary place. And we didn't decide for ourselves that this was wrong anyways. It was obvious this person was committing fraud and theft. This isn't really any different that insurance fraud. Just because someone notifies an authority of a suspicious event doesn't mean we decide if it's wrong. The authority (SOA) decides for all of us.

i do see wrong in it, i never said he was not responsible. i also questioned everyone who was judging him. i asked them if they would do the same thing. i asked if they would remove mods then goto the dealership or just pay out of pocket, without taking that chance.
just surprised to see how many people, found joy in his misery

Good Man, There is no joy in misery period, wether it's yours, mine or anyone else. wrxified put it well, ie. insurance fraud
we all have to learn a lesson, and it just happens wrx2fast4u learned with an expensive car. The misery of blowing your engine is bad, the misery of watching insurance/warranty fraud is also bad. No hate, just learn from our mistakes. A good idea might be to find a dealership like mine and make real good friends with the mechanic, and learn what mods will not void the warranty, or just buy a used car to modify.

in my tradition of reading from my "WRX Training guide"
the first line in the book shows a picture of a man standing next to a very modified and very nice WRX. below the picture it says "Mark is responsible for his own car"
I think that just says it... Who's responsible? YOU are responsible. NOT SOA, NOT the people in the forum to supposidly told you what to do, NOT the civic that blew your doors off. YOU
it's good that stuff like this happens every so often makes us think about whats right and wrong out of context. because if your subi broke tomorrow you probably would be too blinded by worries to make good sound decisions. But now having thought about it before hand...

I think there could be situations where people might bring their car back to stock where it's alright. Let's face SOA has been know for "attempting" to deny claims for anything they can think of. This has forced some people to go back to stock for warranty claims.
An example of this is my friend here who took off his BOV and turbotimer because he had terrible clutch shudder. Obviously he knew there was no way it was being caused by the mods he had. But he had heard the horror stories online and didn't want to risk it.
This is not being dishonest as much as just protecting yourself. Totally different though. Plain and simple. Ask yourself if your mods did the damage and then DO THE RIGHT THING!
