Loss of psi?

Loss of psi?

hey guys well im new to i-Club but i do not have an Sti so i hope i dont get scorned just a young kidd trying to get some help.

well i have a
03 mbp wrx
blouch evo3 16g
greddy fmic
injen CAI
APS downpipe
Cobb CAtback

and recnetly had an Agency Power bov whic i had to somewhatrepair my self and had it on but it was sort of leaking so i took it off and put the stock one back on.

well mty problem is that i used to get to 21 psi around 6300 rpms and it would go all the way to 6700 and on, but recently my car has barely been making it to 15 psi?
what coyuld this be?
i have searched around and i have read about boost leak?
but i am not sure and im on a tight buidget being a 18 going to school full time and barely working so if there are some tips you guys can give me to check out so iwont have to take it to a shop and be charged a bunch load of money.

Is the car tuned? What are you using for boost control? You can try resetting the ECU.

yes the car is tuned it was tuned by the previous owner in the OC,
and as far as MBC i am not positive if i have one X[
like i said im a noob sorry Ed,
where would i be able to find the MBC?

ye maybe i will reset the ecu, lemme try that. =]

There are a lot of places to install an MBC. Generally it would be by the passenger side strut tower.

Well it doesnt have an mbc but it does habe apridruve electronic boost controlly which is not adjustable, so im leaning more towards a boost leak because i also reset the ecu and nothing. It has an open source tune on the stock ecu

when the car is cold and i turn it on tere is a loud hissing noise maybe coming from a loose coupling?
Or from the inlet?

The stock BOV will not hold up to 21 psi. It's designed for much lower pressures...

In his case upgrading the stock recirc valve is a no brainer.

Well i mean i never had this problem with eiter the stock bov nor the AP one neither?

A BPV is plumbed back into the intake so that it returns the blow-off air back to the intake. A BOV is generally venter to atmosphere.
