Loose Ground Cable

hello everyone, so i was working on my car today cleaning my engine bay and intake filter, i do a quick inspection of the engine and i see this ground cable just hanging around next to my driver axle.... does anyone know where this attaches to by chance? Thanks in advance! -Mark 99 2.5RS

Guessing its not bolted down to ur intake manifold? On my STI I've seen a few grounds bolted down to the intake. Maybe that translates over to yours? Any more pics u want to take/other angles for our reference?

P.s. what mods do u have?

hey, i just got the car, its my first subie, so far theres only a intake filter with pipe, and a obx muffler with piping from the cat back. i'll try to take some more photos of the wire tomorrow morning when theres light out... i traced the cable it leads directly to the negative battery terminal =(

Pretty sure that goes to the starter. I'm surprised it doesn't have starting issues without that ground. I think it should be on one of the long *** bolts that goes through the starter and tranny case and screws into the block.
