I owned a Stromung twin tip and got pulled over and he told me that the "WRX's come strait from the factory w/ a nice looking muffler, wish all cars came stock with something like the WRX stock exhaust."
still got a speeding ticket...so if you want a sleeper exhaust that gives u excellent performance get the stromung...
Flash and Dash has a sale coming so i guess now is the time to get em...

i was ni the market for a stealth cat back and the choice was between the Greddy EVO and Borla HUSH. I picked the borla hush because of fitment issues posted with the greddy.
I just got the borla installed this weekend and it sounds awesome!! Stealth, but you can hear the low grumble esp at higher RPM's. Best mod yet: $450 at MPJ.

I got my Borla Hush installed 2 weeks ago courtesy of Mike and Gino @ MPJPerformance. The sound it gives off is a nice low rumble, just a bit louder than stock. What I like about it is that it looks stock so cops don't even give me a second look as I drive by (the CHP station is right around the corner from where I live). IMO, this exhaust is the one to get for those who want that stealth look and the benefit that comes w/ 3" piping.

qwk_wrx - Yeah people don't know it is an aftermarket exhaust!!
It is very nice and it is available in 2.5in and 3in piping. And I am going to run a sale for the month of Feb. Just a heads up!
Thanks,
Brian

I just got a borla hush this weekend from Mike and Gino at MPJ. Great system, deeper rumble than stock. It was an easy install(I did use a lift). Mike and Gino are great guys. This system is totally stealth and looks and sounds better than stock.
Borla Single tip I have one for sale for 350! 50 state legal (Stupid *** Rosette). Borla makes all their tusff 50 state legal. It's the deepest I've heard out of all the exhausts out there for the REX. Good tone.
aznfoos - Hey I tried to send you a PM but your inbox was full. Did you ever get it cleared up?? If so then just shoot me another PM and I will get back you asap!
Thanks,

Im suprised people have not brought up A'Pexi yet. HKS is a great system and i would go with it, but i like the A'pexi N1 and GT Spec. A buddy of mine has the GT Spec and it is awsome. Very loud too. A'pexi is a top notch quality product and has done mods for the 22b's and subaru for a long time. A lot of manufactures such as Tunbabe are comming out with full titanium catbacks weighing in at 6 pounds. Granted they are around 700+ dollars. What do you guys think of titanium exhausts? does the 6 pounds really make a huge difference? I saw a JDM STI titanium exhaust that usually retails for 1400 for only 700 last week on ebay. But other then that, I think A'pexi, HKS, or tanabe is the way to go.

So this is how it goes. A dealer has to prove that the mod you did was the reason for failure...an example is this...if you added lowering springs to your car and then ended up with engine problems...they can't say..."oh...well your lowering springs caused the engine to fail."
So if you are thinking of getting an exhaust you will probably be fine with any set up. An axle-back exhaust is not going to cause you engine problems.
I've never heard of a case at least.
If you want a nice deep sound that's intimidating and not ricey I would recommend the STI Genome exhaust. Sounds great, and its aluminum so it's light too!
my 2 cents

OH Yeah...I got mine for 300 used (800 new). And it's an exhaust...as long as the person who is selling it hasn't totally slammed his car and scraped it up it's a good deal to buy used.
