lack of boost sometimes, please help
Sometimes i get full boost... other times i get very little boost. I have a vishnu uppipe and helix downpipe installed... i hear no absnormal noises, so i dont think i have any kind of leak...
Apparently the IC wasn't put on ALL the way, it is on there good and tight, just not completely flush with the big tubing right there in the middle. Could that be causing some kind of lack of boost?
i know, ill be fixing this, this coming weekend. But before then, could this be causing a lack of boost every now and then? if not what could be?
oh also, sometimes when i do get very little boost.. the full amount will kick in way late.. like 4500+ rpms
what could cause this very big delay?

If this just started hapening after the ic was messed with you should check everything that was moved. Just how unflush is the outlet hose and are you haveing this problem when you are at higher elevations, in cold weather or is there a certain climate that seems to always be present when you have this problem? I read a thread and the guy said he had low boost when he was at 1000 ft but he had good boost at 100 ft. Im no pro so I am curious to see what the problem is so tell us when you figure it out. Good luck.
no the problem is recent, its been a few months since we installed the uppipe/downpipe and messed with the IC.
im always at the same elevation pretty much... sea level... the problem could be happening more so when it is warmer out, or the car has been running longer..
when i first start it up on a colder day.. i think the problem may not be there.

I heard autozone will pull codes for free. Maybee you should try that. If your cel is on there is a thread that I read some time ago that said that if your cel is on and you changed your upipe and down pipe you may throw a cat inefficency code. If that is the case you need to do a mechanical cel fix and that will fix the problem. If I remember correctly that person was haveing a similar problem but I dont think it was the exact problem. I wish someone way smarter than me would help you out. Good luck.
