Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Just installed simple mods, getting CELs...

My friend wrecked his 2004 WRX and I got a good deal on the mods he had on it that wasn't damaged. I got Cusco front and rear strut tower braces, perrin intercooler piping, and the Zero Sports Air Intake pipe all for 350$. I installed all these parts these parts Sunday night on my 2004 WRX. I drove it for about an hour that night, then all day monday with no problems. Then about noon today I get a CEL. I pulled into Auto Zone to get it checked and it came up with 6 codes. P0171 (running lean, bank 1), P0301, P0302, P0303, p0304 (misfires on all 4 cylinders), and another one that I don't remember, (the guy cleared them before i could look at them). I took off the intake pipe thinking that would have been the cause of it running lean and making the misfires occur, (even though I have never heard of this pipe causing a CEL).The CEL hasn't returned, but it has only been a few hours. I called my friend to ask if he had the same prob and he said he didn't. However, he was running an accessport also, which, as i understand, clears the intake and exhaust CELs. My question is: would that intake pipe or the intercooler pipe cause these CELs? If I put the intake pipe back on and reset the ECU, would I still get these? And finally, did i get a good deal on these parts?!

BTW: Just in case someone doesn't know, the pipe I'm refering to is NOT an intake. It just replaces the accordian piece of plastic right after the MAF. Pics of it can be found by searching this forum.
