possible stupid question about CELs

I don't know exactly how this works so I'm asking.

I bought a downpipe and midpipe and the pony express MIL eliminator and I'm not thinking of getting the stage 2 Cobb AccessECU reflash.

My question is this. Ponyexpress gaurantees no CEL for a year...but then after that because of debris and wetness whatever, a CEL could pop up again. Now does this mean I have to get my ECU reflashed in order to get rid of the CEL???

No, it means you'd need another CEL fix.

SO a CEL will go away with a new CEL fix...Its not a flag set in the computer?

yeah, if the cel comes on again, then its time to get a new mil.
why not get the reflash and do away with the cel fixes?

removing the negative batter cable and resetting the computer and removing the cel is also an idea, its worked for me with my downpipe. After installing it I got a CEL light. I installed the o2 sensor kit for the downpipe and removed the battery cable, and reset the computer and never had a problem since.
