Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

IYO, what would you do with $5k?

Opinion
If you are gonna be seeing dirt roads I would stay with the factory 16" wheels. Better ride and less likley to tear them up.

I would be looking at the Cobb Stage II engine package ( http://cobbtuning.com/wrx/power-s.html#Stage2 ) and than suspension
Rear strut brace
Lower Front brace
Coilovers and shocks

I was looking at that. Would it be better to get that or get an Access Port and then an APS exhaust. I seems like alot of people like the APS 3" TBE.

So would the APS 3.5" TBE be better than the APS 3" TBE, or is the 3.5" better only if your running a huge turbo?

fair enough, but he put handling as a priority in the first post.

I put in 15% of my paycheck into my 401k and I'm only 23. I think I'm set for retirement.

3.5" is their race setup, last time i went to the track a couple of STi guys were runnin those and theyre pretty loud and they werent running the vf39 turbo, i didnt ask them what they, hmm next time...ha.. but yeah thats kinda over doin it if you just gotta stock 2.0 wrx block with stock turbo, youll be fine with any good downpipe and exhaust combo and you can save yourself some money and get an up pipe too

I'm a software engineer, not married, no kids.

Once I get married and have kids Ill drop it back some percentage. But the sooner you start and the more you start with, the more you make off of interest in the long run.

oh, and my company pays for me to be here in California and my rent back in NM is $250/month.
