None, unless you track your car extensively. If you just want bling, spend the $$$ on driving lessons and have something to really show for it.
BBK's on the street are a 100% complete waste of money and hardware.
I have FHI 4-pots w/dba4000's in front and the H6 rear conversion with dba657's, and that is a lot of bling...
Subaru rotors would have been just fine with the stock front calipers, good pads, and SS lines and Motul RBF600 fluid would have been plenty for the street.

A lot of big brake kits will screech and squeal.. I have these brembos on my car and they'r silent. I highly recommend them.

i have the rotora big brake kit
mainly because i track my car and was eating through stock parts in about a month to 2 months. (and cuz they sponsor me
)
i have heard good things about stoptechs and brembos as well
but unless u are tracking ur car extensively, the stock system with better pads and ss brake lines and better fluid is quite good

I would highly recommend the Stoptech BBK!! And not because I sell them. They have been one of the best kits out there since they came out. And they are constently striving to better their kits. Just last year they came out with a new caliper design to better aid in stopping power.
If you are interested in getting any brake kit then let me know and I would be glad to assist you with any info you might need!!
Let me know if I can help!

If you like Prodrive stuff, their BBK fits those wheels for obvious reasons. Otherwise, I would recommend StopTechs. They are just plain good stuff. Failing that, the Subaru old school STi 4 pots are very very fade resistant (2 track days with just the OE pads and rotors without incident) and they fit under any 17" wheel and most aftermarket 16" wheels. Unfortunately, they don't clear USDM WRX wheels. Finally, Uncle Scotty is right that stock calipers with good pads, good fluid and stainless lines works very well. That is sufficient for most use. However, if you are gonna go overboard on one particular area of your car, brakes are the best place to do it.

Endless six-piston system kit. I don't have it, I don't know anyone who has it, and I've never seen it in action.
I'm recommending it because it's an Endless product and it's fiendishly expensive, which probably means that it kicks ***.
Anyone ever used (or even seen in person) the Project Mu kit? They generally make really good stuff.
Oh, and I found out that Top Secret makes brake pads for Imprezas, dunno if they're any good or not.

hashiriya - LOL...."fiendishly expensive" sometimes expensive is not always the best. M2 has front and rear priced at $3995 per set which is crazy.
The Stoptechs are some of the very best out there and they are not nearly "fiendishly expensive"....very price savey!

Actually, the M2 brakes produced the shortest stopping distances Sport Compact Car has seen to date on a WRX. 104 feet from 60-0 IIRC. The trouble is, M2 doesn't exist anymore.
Exactly because their products were way out of site on prices!! LOL That is why they don't exist anymore! They did have the best stopping power out there but what good is the record if no one can afford your parts?? Just braggin rights now....

yeah, that kit is crazy... giant discs up front... and giant discs in back.
Same calipers front and rear too, just smaller pistons. Breaks all the rules, but hey... it worked.

Yeah I remember when that article came out and I saw the numbers on those and I was like dang that is great...but then you see the price and you are like if I hit the lotery. LOL.
