Angry Invidia Downpipe/catback making clunking noise!

Like the title says my exhaust is making a clunking sound. It sounds like it is bumping the tranny! Anybody have this problem? I have it bolted correctly, how can i fix this annoying noise! Thanks in advance!

you might be missing the bolt that connects the bracket to tranny?

I was. It didn't make a clunk, more of a squeak of 2 metals rubbing each other. I'd check that one more time to make sure, but if you say it's all bolted, then I dunno. try to get the car on a lift, or jack it up and shake your exhaust to see what moves?

DP noise

same problem when hard corning left on my 02 wrx with invida dp. Got worse on last thursday. The weld holding the dp around the tranny area came off. Also the dp is sitting really close to the crossmember aroud the tranny area, that is where to soundcoming from. Getting bracket reweld again and possible move the dp little bit or buy a different dp. good luck

How odd. I just got my invidia turboback installed this past friday, i am not getting any weird noise out of it. Maybe you got the older version of the invidia downpipe? I heard the older versions had fitment issues.

DP noise

finally got it fix. The bracket holding dp at the tranny area was reweld. The crossmember was remove and cut slightly with the gas cutter to give it more room. Good luck
