The MAF will probably compensate for the extra air by adding more fuel. No point to it AFAIK.

couple of things stand out here...

1. this is a dress up part, not a performance part. it's purpose is to make your car appear to have a twin turbo setup.

2. if your car is running lean, you really shouldn't screw with the intake at all. the ECU is calibrated around the diameter of the MAF housing that comes with your car. smaller diameter - car runs richer. larger diameter - car runs leaner. your turbo with the stock airbox will do an ample job of sucking in enough air. if you're lean, get your engine management tuned.
