Hello all,

I've had 2 WRXs and on my current one is stock (minus the P1s). I miss the induction sound from my ram air intake....but we all know it probably didn't do too much in terms of performamce. I've seen these intake elbows that replace the resonator. Anyone using one of these? Does it sound good? It seems like a cleaner alternative to the resonator box removal mod. Any input is appreciated.

I cant really tell any difference between it and nothing there.
The main reason i like it is because it gets rid of the big hole that is left if you take out the stock air silencer.
Paint it up a nice flat black and it makes everything look good again, it also keeps the snorkel from flopping around because it isnt attached to anything.

 

How's the sound?

 

a little quieter than having a short ram intake, about the same as no air silencer at all. You can really hear the turbo spool up and hear the stock BOV a little bit
