Does the WRX 06 TR and STI have a intake Resonator? Sorry for the newbness.

yes, pretty much everyone modding their subaru has done this, you can hear the turbo spool a little better, i doubt theres a hp increase, but it is more pleasing to the auditory sense in my opinion


and dont get a cold air intake, if you value the performance of the car just let it be

How hard is the resonator to take off? Do I have to go through the bottom front right fender? Do I have to take off the wheel?

Does anybody have the Big Prova Carbon Fiber Intake tract with Carbon Fiber resonator? Do you have to cut anything or move anything around. From my understanding it is a direct bolt on with no prob. and works great with the stock intake box.

One last question out there to anybody that knows, Is there a company that has made the stock air box out of Carbon Fiber?

The aftermarket CAI's are no good for Subaru's to my understanding.

 

you can find the moded resonator at fastwrx.com, or you can make a getto one from home depo toilet pipes
When i got the car it had CAI, so im planning to get stock box with moded resonator and bigger front part that take air from the front.
But with CAI when you going in 3d next to wall **** its sounds like a plane taking off!!!
