Installing stock intake "WRX"
So, i bought my WRX and it came with the loved AEM CAI already installed. Not knowing how to install the stocker i decided to take some pics to help out someone in the same situation.
First youll want to remove the wheel on the passanger side, brake the lug nuts loose before raising the car.
Jack the car up using the jacking plate. My car is droped so i could not use a wood block, instead i used a towel, mom will love that
Remove the passanger side wheel to gain access to the plastic wheel well cover. Man i need brakes.
You'll find its held in by lovley plastic screws that do not want to come out on their own, so help them by using a flat-head to pry on them while un-screwing like so..
Pull off the plastic cover. Yank that damed CAI outta there and dispose of it properly
Remove the upper part of the intake and throw that away also, dont forget to grab the MAF 1st.

Look at all that dirt, bet that was real effective
Now that the old CAI is out, install the stock scliencer in the wheel well, its secured with 2 nuts, one in the engine bay which is easily seen, and one in the wheel well which isnt so fun
Now you can re-install the plastic wheel well cover, hopefully you didnt loose any of the little plastic screws. Put the wheel back on and lower the car down.
Now you can install the stock air box. First do a test fit and youll see which bolts to remove to secure it to the frame. Remove those. Youll notice a rubber gromit on the air box, slide that over the scliencer and secure the air box down useing those bolts you removed.
Install the air filter into the air box. Looks brand new eh?
Now you can install the top of the air-box. It is secured by two clips. Re-install the MAF, and put the coolent/electrical lines in their proper holders. Install the rubber hose between the air-box and the rest of the intake and secure the clamps.
Lastly install the ram-air thing by sliding it over the scliencer and secure it using the 2 10mm bolts. If it looks like this you are done!
