I'm SKEEEERED!!!!

I am hearing a lot of horror stories out there about people blowing their engines with similar mods to mine. And my question is...how realistic are my fears. I currently have catless down and midpipes, accessECU, sti perf. exhaust, for engine mods. and other handling mods which i'm not too worried about.

so...what do YOU all think?

i dont think you have anything to worry about unless your ECU is not set up correctly and your runing a map that will blow your engine.

I'm running their stage 2 93 octane map...nothing special.

Did you buy the accessecu from cobb. Ask them. I think you'll be ok. I hope, I am going to run basically the same set up. TBE, stage 2.

I am running the same setup and I have read that this is fairly reliable. I wouldn't be to worried unless you are running an additional boost controller and are pushing it above what is reccommended from cobb.

Sounds safe as long as you are running the right octane.

And an STi shortblock + install and supporting parts is probably only $4,000. So what's to worry!

oOoOoOo....STI short block good call...I doubt your engine will blow up....very rare with the set up you got, it gets more intense when you get a bigger turbo and injectors but your running stock so your fine..

THanks for the confidence. I really needed that. MY AccessECU comes in tomorrow morning and then I have to drive 150 miles home. I'm excited. Speeding is going to be happening though.

I hope i feel the difference.

I have the STG 2 Access ECU and I love it. I don't think you'll have any problems at all..............

Thanks. Hopefully I won't have any issues when i install it tomorrow. It's just my luck I plug it in and my car won't start or something like that. Also...could you actually feel the difference in the car?

I'm always weary I won't feel the difference.

Alright...I installed it...love it except one thing....It got a littler jerkier over the mid RPM range. PRE AccessECU it was a lot smoother with just the pipes.
