how to make HKS ssq valve sound seqential?
i have a lot of friends w/ dsm's and supra's and all that have the super sequential bov have a very distinct sound when the valve opens up. i baught this bov for that sound, and all mine does is sound like a mouse is stuck under my hood.

Run in first gear at redline then let up - stomp on it - let up - stomp on it - let up - stomp on it.....
Rinse, repeat if necessary...
J/k I have the same BOV and the only time it makes the sequential noise is when I am on a steep upgrade and the engine is workin on the hill.....then it does that lil noise.
I dont worry about it because the mouse squeak lets me know it doing its job anyway....

There are fittings you can get to change the sound of the HKS BOV. They are about $15 each. They fit under the housing. It only takes about ten minutes or so to change them out. You can get the purple one that makes the BOV sound like a pretty big rush of air.

It sounds like a mouse sneasing and farting after eating a monster burrito.....

Does anyone have a sound clip of what it should sound like? I have the purple insert. It came with the car.
I don't know why a bov would sound very different on different cars unless either boost pressure or cfm's of the turbos are dramatically different. The supra should have a lot more cfm than we do. Will the sound change with a big turbo?

I used to have a HKS SSQV on my Talon. It always sounded pretty weenie with the Big 16G I had, but when I changed turbos to a PTE 57 trim it sounded completely different. It was much louder and mean sounding, but did not flutter anymore.
BTW shameless plug for PTE, precisionturbo.net , they make awsome stuff.
