That's not a HKS downpipe, that is the ERZ unit sold by many Ebay vendors which is why it's clearly labelled HKS Style which is a marketing ploy for the search engines.

HKS makes a flat flanged based unit that ressembles the stock downpipe as in blocks the wastegate exit.

Kevin hit the nail on the head, the HKS unit is a POS.

I stand corrected. And a good marketing ploy it is, because even after several months of owning it I still hadn't the full idea of who manufactured the downpipe (although I was under the full impression that it was a hks unit). I saw no where on that site where it said erz, but after doing a search on erz dp's, up came an identical picture of what I purchased! Thank you, Mike, for the research! Nonetheless, this erz downpipe, as my personal opinion as a user and consumer, is still a decent downpipe, especially considering the price compared to other dp's.

Heh, I didn't catch that when I looked at the auction either. And I agree, the ERZ unit looks to be as good as pretty much any bellmouth downpipe from a performance standpoint.

Congratulations on the install! Those uppipes can sure be a b**ch to install, can't they! I'm glad you like it...after all, in the end all it comes down to is whether or not you like it, not what everybody else thinks. Happy WRX-ing!
