Not tryin' to be a nerd, but I think a clear downpipe uppipe and catback will give you better gas mileage because there isn't energy loss to the cats. I noticed MPG gain after I put on a turboback. I get horrible gas mileage, and I think it's either the learning ECU which still has that "Fast" setting to throw in more gas. Or ur like me and you like to enjoy the car =)

i had just barely over 18k miles.... i guess i really did get a bad tank of gas. it was pretty sudden that the mileage went bad. after a tank or 2, i noticed my mileage went from16.5 to about 13 then finally to just over 11. i drove that way for a good month until everyone chimed in with their suggestions. thanks again fellas.

You mentioned cold temps outside.

Are you running the defrost?

If you are the defrost runs the AC thus adding more load on the engine and worse gas milage

Try driving for with a full tank and no defrost on....see what happens

rarely even use the defrost. but that wouldnt cause that big of a drop in mileage..... it turned out to be a bda fuel filter. its all good now.
