I was talking about unequal length headers. It will change the exhaust note a bit, but not completely get rid of the boxer sound like the equals do.

Yep. I have Gruppe-S unequal length and while they don't (entirely) get rid of the rumble they certainly change the exhaust note.

I have Borla headers with Helix Up, Cobb Down, Borla Hush.
Very nice, great sound and I don't have problems with neighbors becuase it is not too loud.

Port and polish your stock ones, much better then aftermarket headers. I ran a Gruppe-suck header for awhile but went back to a stock p&p'd.

If you got the money, don't care about the sound and are only interested in power, here's what I recommend: Perrin EQL Header
Sound: Will sound pretty much like an EVO

If your looking for some boxer sound with with the same performance gains and not planning to spend too much, then go for the TOMEI Unequal Header.
Sound: Will sound still like a boxer engine should just not deep.

Last but not least Port and polish exhaust manifold elbows with your choice of the high flow cross pipe (Injen, BPM, etc) This WILL retain the boxer rumble (making it deeper) and still gain performance just the same but at a cheaper price.
Sound: Real deep tone boxer sound.

Special Note: To "fix" the infamous "TICKING" noise just use exhaust wrap and wrap the crosspipe with 2 layers, especially the flex joint and it'll go away.

P.S. This is just my own personal preference and research that I've done. I personally went with the 3rd choice because I was on a budget and wanted
to retain the boxer rumble.

Good Luck.
