HELP! no turbo...

guys... if anyone can help. just got a turbo xs rfl-ti full turbo back exhaust installed today. my previous upgrades were a turboxs mbc set at 14 psi, a turboxs blow off valve, and the k&n filter. 50 miles after the exhaust install today, i have no more turbo spool, no more power. im completely turboless... there was no smoke, no sounds, no nothing when it happened. one stop light i had it, and one i didnt. i checked hoses etc from the mbc, but nothing seemed loose... HELP!!!!

no boost gauge... but for some reason, my boost kicked back in 30 miles later. whats great, though, is that yesterday, i got t-boned by a van going 50, so my car is out of commission anyway. thanks for the reply tho... im still curious as to what couldve made my boost go away for 50 miles. maybe the bov got stuck open?

Put your stock BOV back on. It's most likely leaking off all the boost. Either that or your wastegate is stuck.

actually even with the wastegate stuck open, you will still build a small ammount of boost. If you see no boost at all, unfortunatly most of the time its a frozen compressor wheel.

make sure they replace your turbo

scott, 30 miles later, it "unfroze" so i doubt it was that. maybe bov got stuck open?

I have seen turbos have the turbine will freeze up for one reason or another and then free themselves. Its nothing good tho

as for the BOV being stuck open, if that did happen, the car would still build boost, since the air is just being recirculated though the intake system. you would still see some boost level even with it fully open.

This happen to me once but it was just a hose that came off the BOV.

maybe the valve in your mbc got stuck for a little while, and was keeping the wastegate open on the turbo.
that would give you no boost at all, and then maybe it just became unstuck...
