Whatsup, I just installed GT Spec Stainless headers on my 02 wrx, and after starting it up it was lightly puffin whitesmoke. I completely forgot to use a little black wire that came with the kit, called a Factory EGT bypass resistor. Unfortunately I don't know exactly how to connect this black wire, if ANYONE has installed headers for their wrx or knows what to do, I could sure use the help.

 

It will smoke the first time you start it up for a little. The smoke is all of the chemicals they used in making the header burning off. The restirctor goes into where the old EGT probe plugged in (under the black harness cover). Good luck, Z
