TurboXS stage 2 with a unichip is good for 303HP WITH NO OTHER MODS OR DYNO TUNING!
Add in an up pipe and you are in the 310-315 range.
I think these guys are just saying a bigger turbo because they dont really know what else to say.(no offense guys, but you DO NOT need a bigger turbo/fuel mods for 320HP. Bigger turbo and fuel mods will put a well tuned car to over 370HP MINIMUM. At which time he will need to look at a clutch and most likely a new trans/gears)

Case in point: A VF22 puts out less than a VF24, which puts out the same as a VF29, both of which put out less than a VF30, which puts out the same as a VF34 although the 34 spools faster, both of which put out more top end than a VF35 which spools faster than either the 30 or 34.
IOW, the number only designates the order in which they came out, nothing else about the turbo or its power/spool abilities. Therefore the only thing that can be said about the IHI's judging from the number alone is that the VF22 is an older (though not neccessarily less powerful) turbo than say the VF30, which is older than the current newbie the VF35. Hope that helps a little.

what about 300 awhp, would you need for that?
which turbo would get you aroun that power level with the lease lag? and would a STi TMIC be enough to hold up to that power?

Stiles check your facts man
The vf 22 is HUGE compared to the 24 and 29. I know what a 24 is. I have one on my car.
The VF 22 puts out more than a VF30!The 24 and 29 spool VERY quickly, the 22 spools in the mid 4000's but MAN O MAN when it spool you know it
300WHP?
here is how
Good engine management
vf30-or better yet vf22
FUll catless exh and up pipe
sti or larger injectors
Fuel pump
Bigger intercooler (sti isnt going to cut it here)
GOOD dyno tune
You are also going to need
Better clutch
Good driving skills to not waste your tranny.

hahahaha.....nice math skills. He does have a point. the stock engine can take 100shot and pretty reliably i am guessing. i have heard the stock engine can take 500hp. i know no2 hp isn't as safe as, other hp but still. if you can drive, 100 shot should be safe.
