Im doing this mod, but im waiting till after I get my stereo installed this friday.
alpine 9813 deck
type S 6.5" all around
40x4 alpine pushing the main 4 and 2 tweeters
200x1 pushing a JL 12W3v2

I want to see how bad the draw is before and after the mod, this will give a pretty good comparison I think. I may need to install a second battery or cap also depending on the results. Ill post them after i get some results.

This was pretty much a dead thread, but I just had to add my comments.

I just did my own grounding mod on an '04. Used all 4awg cabling and silver plated ring terminals. Used the 2 front fender grounds, 2 engine block points, 2 strut towers and replaced the dinky length from the battery to the left fender.

I took the car out for about 20 minutes. I can tell you as soon as I started my car, the first thing I noticed was DAMN my lights were noticably brighter. I didn't notice any change in responsiveness but did notice a SLIGHT smoother idle.

I'll turn up the sounds tomorrow (it's 11pm here don't want to **** off the neighbors) and see if there's any change there.
