Ok I just did the diy Throttle body port and polish and when i put everything back together i for got to plug my MAF sensor back in cuz i removed it for some cleaning. but anyway when i started my car in threw a check engine code and was running like crap. Then i realized i forgot to plug my MAF in. Thinking that was all that was wrong i pluged it back in and tryed starting my car again and it was still doing the same thing. Idleing high and the engine was surging up and down. Please help this sucks What could be wrong n what could i have done wrong???

 

Did you try to reset the ECU?

 

yeah i did......The engine surged up and down reving kinda high (scared the s*** out of me) on me during the ECU reset, so i pulled over and turned the car off then on and it stopped and hasn't done it again, yet. I'm going get my ECU scanned to see if I'm haveing some other trouble. Also, when i'm driving and depresse the clutch and hold it down with the car still in the same gear the engine goes to about 1500 RPM but idles as it always has which is about 500 rpm. Do you know if that's normal for it to goto 1500 rpm or should it drop to the idle rpm?
