flowmaster vs. magnaflow
I never dyno'd a motor with Flowmaster. I did run a 2.5" Flowmaster 3-chamber (if I remeber correctly) on my own 2.3L and then changed over to 2.5" Magnaflow and found another 600rpm up top.
My car ran 12.66 on 92octane through Magnaflow. This was in 1850lb street car with MH slicks.
The Flowmasters have been deemed restrictive in the VW world by the guys with dyons. Some motors have ran better HP with Magnaflows than with full open exhaust.
just my 2 cents

what about two magnaflows, one on each side of the car. I wonder how that would sound? or perform?

to answer the first question about flowmaster mufflers, Easy Street uses them on their 3" turbo-back exhausts. it sounds awesome. more info on the website...
