FLOWMASTER exhaust????????
i just found out that flowmaster is making an exhaust for the WRX. it's a catback system. the shop where i do all my jeep stuff shopping has been trying to get a dealership setup with TurboXS, but they have not been able to get any response from them. so they are gonna overnight a Flowmaster for me, it will be there tomorrow so we can go over it. i'm not too sure how well it will be made....and it seems to look good (no coffee can tip). but that's why we're bringing one in......so we can check it out and see what it's all about. i'll let you guys know what the deal is. also.....the price was good. 240 bucks for the cat-back system...so we'll see.....................................
later, riggs
ps i'll take some pics!!!!!

Steppin Razor started a thread on having a custom Flowmaster system made up for his car. Somewhere in that thread was posted a link to that axle-back system you are ordering. I'm curious to see what it looks like so pics would be appreciated. The one pic at the link site was tiny.

well......i took a look at the exhaust.......it seems nice. some stuff i don't like. the tip is not welded to the canister.....it's held on by an internal clamp.....but once it's on you can' t tell. finish is not as nice as the turboXS but i didn't think it would be for the $240 cost. as far as fit goes.......i'll let you guys know tommorow morning. i'm gonna take it home and see how it fits up under the car......then i'll decide on buying it or not. i'll take some pics and let you know!!! later, riggs
oh...it's a 40 series......so it should have a throaty sound to it!

Jriggs have you heard a turbo xs axleback? I heard a sound byte, and was wondering how it sounds at idle and peak rpm. I bought a used axle back turbo xs with less than a thousand miles for 250 and havent gotten it yet on the way. I had it narrowed down to either turbo xs or a scooby sport. I think i madea good choice cant wait to have it installed!!!

i got it on.......but i'm sad to say my digital camera is MIA.......so i couldn't take any pics. the sound from the flowmaster is NICEEEEE!!!!! and for the money it's not a bad deal for the time being. a full exhaust will go on the car sometime next year.....when it gets to that stage......but for now this pipe adds a little character to the car without damaging the wallet too much.

i'll make sure to move it next time so you don't get confused.
